Medicine Cards

I can't believe a year has passed since my last post.  So much has happened.  For now, just a quick announcement about my newest project.  I have made my series of Affirmation images into a deck of cards.  I am so excited about these, as they capture the essence of what these images really have meant to me, perhaps more than the plaques because they come as a series, with a full narrative.  And the little bag and feel of the cards is so nice in the hand. I have decided it is finally time for me to "do the intellectual part of my work" as one painting teacher used to say of artist's statements and such.  So I shall start to tell the story of how these cards came to be, a journey that began over 20 years ago.  For now though, just some photos of the little gems.  The printer has done a fabulous job, and it all came together even better than I had envisioned.  Available at the shop via the link.

Affirmations available

Many have asked why my etsy shop is not working.  It is because I am putting together a new web site with a shop.  Stay tuned...in the meantime, here are the images I have available.  You may order these as the regular size copper-framed plaques (4.25 x 5.5") or as the new mini-size (2.5 x 3.25")  framed in copper with copper hook, just as the original size ones are.  Prices are $22. for the small and $36. for the large.  Send me an email and I will send an invoice that you can follow to make payment and give address details.  Thanks!

new painting, after Keats, "Endymion"

linoleum block prints on muslin

I have made some new carvings on linoleum blocks and printed them on muslin.  I made "Festive Garlands" with the printed pieces, and some little bags which are quite cute, if I dare say so myself.  Something about the little size makes them irresistible for keeping precious little things.  The garlands have been selling really well at a few local shops.  I finally got around to photographing them and putting them in my etsy shop.
